COURTESY VISIT BY THE GOVERNING COUNCIL OF RENEWABLE ENERGY AND ENERGY EFFICIENCY ASSOCIATION ALLIANCE TO THE RURAL ELECTRIFICATION AGENCY
The members of the Governing Council of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Association Alliance paid a courtesy visit to the Rural Electrification Agency on Tuesday, 23rd April, 2024 where they were received by the Ag. Managing Director/CEO, Abba Abubakar Aliyu and the Management team.
The aim of the visit is to cement a strong collaborative relationship towards driving effective impact in the renewable energy and energy efficiency space.
During the visit, the President of the Alliance, Prof. Magnus Onuoha, the Ex-Officio Member, Dr Imamudeen Talba and the Vice President, Mrs. Anita Adeyemi, congratulated the new REA Management on their appointment and commended the Agency for taking charge in leading the efforts towards energy sustainability in Nigeria as well as reiterated their commitment towards supporting REA in delivering on its mandate. The Alliance also appealed for better women and persons with disabilities inclusion in the energy sector.
The Managing Director/CEO and the Management of the REA appreciated the Alliance on the courtesy visit and reassured the Alliance on its commitment towards energy efficiency and sustainability in Nigeria without leaving any unserved and underserved areas across the country untouched.
The commitment underpins the vision and focus of the new Management of the Agency towards achieving the targets of the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Administration of electrifying rural Nigeria with clean and sustainable energy to boost economic growth.
