The MD/CEO of REA, Ahmad Salihijo received a team of US-based mini grid developers for discussions on investments in Nigerian mini grid space, geared towards powering Nigerian communities.
MCA Sun Africa is a U.S.-based joint venture that has developed renewable energy projects in Africa with a focus on utility scale solar and mini grid projects.
Engr. Ahmad Salihijo commended the group’s interest in Nigeria’s energy sector. and assured MCA Sun Africa of the full support of the REA team towards ensuring continued communication & collaboration to enable Nigerian communities benefit from all potential opportunities in the mini grid space.
US Embassy’s Economic Officer, Scott K. Clayton, who was part of the meeting, shared his thoughts on the impact this collaboration would help fulfill, specially in the area of technical, financial assistance and collaboration.
