The Nigeria Electrification Project (NEP), Project Management Unit (PMU) of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) on Friday, 5th and Thursday, 25th August 2022 signed Performance Based Grant (PBG) Agreement under the Solar Hybrid Mini Grid Component with two renewable energy companies namely; Vertmance Engineering & Construction Limited and Ceesolar Energy Limited.
The Head, Project Management Unit (HPMU)-NEP, Anita Otubu carried out the signing agreements on behalf of the Managing Director/CEO – REA Engr. Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad at the NEP office conference room. Vertmance Engineering and Construction Limited signed for one (1) site in Odo-Oro community, Ekiti State and Ceesolar Energy Limited signed for one (1) site in Abaribara Community, Delta State. A total of 400kWp of PV Capacity installation is expected to be deployed at the sites, with proposed connections of 718 to households and MSMEs, by both companies in the 2 communities impacting approximately 3,600 Nigerians.
