#PartnersinPower
As part of the REA’s deliberate engagement with critical stakeholders in government targeted at strengthening it’s programmes and deepening inter-sectoral collaboration, on the 7th of Sept 2022, the Agency visited the Nigerian Universities Commision for a strategic session on the sustainability of the Energizing Education Programme (EEP), one of the key Federal Government programmes being implemented by the REA. The REA was received by the Executive Director of NUC, Prof. Abubakar Adamu Rasheed.
By design, the EEP is a multi-phased programme providing:

-Upgraded distribution infrastructure.
-Solar street lighting.
-Workshop training centres.
-Trained & certified female interns.
All for each of the beneficiary universities nationwide.
At the meeting, which held at the NUC facility, both institutions exchanged actionable ideas on the best ways to strengthen the EEP: management of the EEP facilities, responsibilities of universities on sustainability and management as well as the implementation of Phases II and III
