Executive Director (Technical Services) Engr. Muhammed Abubakar Wasaram was born 7th January, 1961 in Wasaram, Borno State. He started his primary education school in Benisheikh Primary School 1968 then proceeded to Ramat Technical Education in 1979. Engr. Wasaram obtained his OND and later HND at Kaduna Polytechnic and served his NYSC in Abuja 1986/87. He then proceeded to further his education at University of Maiduguri and graduated with Second Class Upper Division in B. Engr. (Electrical and Electronics) in 1991, where he won the prestigious price of ‘Best
Student Award’ of the graduating class. He worked with Borno State Government at the Rural Electrication Board (REB) and rose to the position of GM from 1997 to 2003. He is one of the pioneer staff of Rural Electrication Agency (REA) in 2006 where he served as the Zonal Coordinator North West, from 2006 to 2008 and later Zonal Coordinator North East from 2008 to 2012.
Upon reconstitution of new Management Team in 2012, Engr. Wasaram became the DirectorPromotion (Information and Outreach), until 2014 when he was transferred to Project Directorate as Director Projects. A position he held until the tenure expiration of the former MD/CEO, Engr. Kenneth C. Achugbu in January,2016.
Being the most senior Director, he took over from Engr. Achugbu inacting capacity as the Managing Director/CEO.
Following the appointment of a new Board and Executive Management of the Agency by President Muhammadu Buhari, Wasaram became the Executive Directo (Technical Services) till date.
He is happily married with children.
