On the 5th of October, the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) went head to head with the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) at an inter-Agency basketball match at the Transcorp Hilton basketball court, Abuja. With highly motivated teams headed by the heads of each Agencies; Engr. Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad, MD/CEO of REA and Alexander Ayoola Okoh, the Director General of BPE.
With both agencies selecting their best players for the game, spectators were left hanging on the edge of their seat as the game lasted. Both the MD/CEO of the REA as well as the Executive Director, Rural Electrification Fund (REF) coordinated and motivated the REA basketball team, leading to a win for the Agency in a game that ended closely at 41/42, against the team from the BPE.
The Heads of both Agencies reiterated the need for government agencies to participate in such out-door activities designed to strengthen healthy connections while keeping the body fit and the mind alert.
