MD/CEO REA PAYS A COURTESY CALL ON THE NATIONAL TELEVISION AUTHORITY (NTA) – SEEKS A COLLABORATIVE PARTNERSHIP
For a very long time, the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) has been publicizing the Rural Electrification Agency (REA). In a bid to discuss further collaborations with regards to exploring possible avenues where significant news about the Agency, its impactful programmes, activities and achievements will be given more awareness through NTA’s diverse TV programmes and unmatchable network reach, on Thursday 25th May, 2023, the Managing Director/CEO of the REA Engr. Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad paid a courtesy call on the management of the NTA led by its Director General Comrade Salihu Abdulhamid Dembos.
During the deliberations at the meeting, the MD/CEO REA informed the NTA management of the desire of the Agency to form a partnership that will enable it carry out its mandate effectively and generate the much-needed public enlightenment and increased awareness of its activities and achievements. MD/CEO REA further briefed the NTA management about the Agency’s mandate and how this translates to the achievements recorded in its impactful programmes and activities that is geared to stimulate economic development in the country.
In his response to the MD/CEO’s brief the DG said the NTA will leverage necessary platforms to fast track the delivery of electrification programmes of the Agency in rural areas. The DG stated that the partnership is going to be a good collaborative effort that will deepen the relationship already established with the NTA that will lead to an increased publicity and stimulate a roll out of more electrification projects for households in unserved and underserved rural communities in the country.
