Directorates


The Rural Electrification Agency (REA) operates through three core Directorates that provide strategic oversight and coordination for the implementation of its mandate. Each Directorate is headed by an Executive Director and is responsible for supervising specific departments and driving key aspects of the Agency's operations.

Technical Services Directorate

The Technical Services Directorate is responsible for the planning, execution, and supervision of electrification projects across the country. It ensures that all projects are delivered in line with technical standards, quality requirements, and national electrification goals.

The Directorate plays a key role in translating REA's programs into tangible infrastructure and energy solutions.

Rural Electrification Fund (REF) Directorate

The REF Directorate oversees the management and administration of the Rural Electrification Fund. It is responsible for facilitating private sector participation through funding mechanisms, grants, and incentives aimed at accelerating electrification in communities.

The Directorate ensures transparency, efficiency, and impact in the deployment of funding support.

Corporate Services Directorate

TThe Corporate Services Directorate provides administrative, financial, legal, and institutional support services that enable the effective functioning of the Agency.

It ensures strong governance, efficient resource management, and institutional coordination across all REA operations.
