Executive Governor of Enugu State, H.E, Peter Mbah received a delegation from the Rural Electrification Agency, led by the Agency’s Board Member
This week, the Executive Governor of Enugu State, H.E, Peter Mbah received a delegation from the Rural Electrification Agency, led by the Agency’s Board Member representing South-East, Honourable Chidi Emmanuel Nwogu; Mr. Olaniyi Netufo, the Executive Director of Corporate Services at the REA and REA's South-East Zonal Coordinator, Patrick Uba.
While commending the Agency for its efforts in delivering energy access solutions to communities across the nation, the Governor assured the Agency of his support to enable the sustainable delivery of off-grid solutions to the unserved and the underserved.
As part of its continuous efforts to strengthen the REA mandate and deepen the impact of REA interventions across the nation, the state governments continue to play a key role in the delivery of REA mandate, enabling the Agency to deploy impactful projects that speaks to the energy needs of communities across the 36 states. The team equally visited 2 REA projects deployed through the Agency's "COVID-19 and Beyond" Programme, which continues to provide clean energy at the Enugu State Teaching Hospital as well as the Infectious Disease Specialist Hospital, Enugu (Formerly known as the Colliery Hospital) With the unwavering support of the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF) and the strategic working relationship between the REA team and the designated Focal Persons in each states, the repositioned REA continues to leverage on real-time data, energy needs and quality feedback to aid its project deployment decisions nationwide
