GOODWILL MESSAGE FROM THE MANAGING DIRECTOR/CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER, Engr. AHMAD SALIHIJO TO ALL STAFF OF RURAL ELECTRIFICATION AGENCY ON THE OCCASION OF 2020 LABOUR DAY CELEBRATION
On behalf of the Board and Management of Rural Electrification Agency, I sincerely congratulate and felicitate with my colleagues and Nigerian workers at large on the auspicious occasion of the 2020 LABOUR DAY CELEBRATION.
There is no doubt that every great prosperous nation attained great heights by the giant feats of its workforce. It is on this note that the nation cherishes your unique sacrifices and contributions to the Nigeria Project.
To my indefatigable colleagues at the Rural Electrification Agency, I wish to say that your faithful contributions to the Federal Government’s purpose-driven programmes and policies of electrifying the unserved and underserved communities is highly acknowledged. While congratulating you on your contributions thus far in putting our dear nation and the Rural Electrification Agency on the path of greatness, I use this opportunity to appeal to those who are involved in unethical practices that endanger the image of the union and derail the principles of the labour movement to desist forthwith in order to give the labour union its pride of place at the agency and society.
I want to also use this medium to assure all staff of my undaunting commitments to the welfare of workers in the agency, and it is my humble belief that the gesture will be reciprocated through remarkable improvements to accomplishment of tasks and project delivery. I therefore, call on you to continue to support the Board, Management and Federal government policies and programmes.
It is on this note that I want to commend the various Labour Unions at the agency for their understanding and unanimous support and cooperation thus far; while hoping that this peace and unity will continue for the all-round good of the staff, the Agency and the chief benefactors of our services, the good people of Nigeria.
