As part of his planned visit to REA facilities nationwide, the MD/CEO, Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad was in company of some senior management staff at Oshogbo Zonal Office to familiarize himself with staff and the activities of the Zonal Office.
During the visit, the MD and his entourage were received by the Zonal Coordinator, Engr. Owoyemi Ademola who briefed the MD and his team on the activities of the Zonal Office,in engaging with rural with communities and the state and local governments as well as other critical stakeholders.
Mr. Salihijo, in his response assured the zonal staff of his full support and reiterated that the bedrock of the activities carried out by the Agency rests on the zonal offices who are much closer to the rural areas. On the administrative requests made by the zonal Coordinator, the MD revealed that plans are already underway to furnish all zonal offices with appropriate furniture’s/equipment based on needs assessment.
The MD further gave insight on his plans for the Agency, while explaining that his vision is to ensure there is greater synergy in the workings of the Agency to ensure better administrative coordination, collaboration and quick delivery of services. He added that capacity building of staff across board will form major part of his Agenda.
The Executive Director, Corporate Services, Mr. Olaniyi Netufo, encouraged the Zonal staff not to wane in their efforts to uphold the mandate of the REA.
The REA South West Zonal Office covers Oyo, Osun, Ondo, Ogun, Ekiti and Lagos States.
The MD/CEO was accompanied by ED (TS), Engr. Muhammed A. Wasaram, ED(CS), Mr. Olaniyi Netufo, Director Promotions, Ayang Ogbe, Director Projects,Engr. Bolakale Kawu and Deputy Director, HR&A, Josiah C, Special Advisor, Yusuf Yahaya and Technical Assistant, Jaafar Dikko.
