The Managing Director of Rural Electrification Agency (REA) Engr. Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad received the Ag. Executive Secretary (E.S) of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC), Mr. Emeka Ofor and his team on Wednesday 24th November, 2021 at the Agency’s headquarters in Abuja.
The Ag. E.S visited the MD REA in a bid to maintain a smooth working relationship between the two organizations on key projects as well as on issues bordering on collaboration of both agencies and the Federal Ministry of Power on the One Stop Investment Platform (OSIP), with support from NESP (Nigerian Energy Support Programme – GIZ).
With efforts from team members in both the REA and the NIPC, the OSIP platform is a testament to the economic impact that can be made in bringing investment into the country by disseminating vital information to investors, thereby enabling investors to make informed decisions.
Engr. Ahmad Salihijo commended the NIPC on ongoing plans towards the Nigerian Trade and Investment Forum scheduled to hold in Dubai on the 4th of December, 2021. The forum is one of the events on the side lines of the Expo which His Excellency President Muhammadu Buhari will be attending. The Forum is themed “Unveiling Investment Opportunities in Nigeria” and is expected to host over 200 Foreign and Nigerian Investors.
