A media tour was conducted today Tuesday 23rd Oct. 2018, at Sura Shopping Complex, Lagos Island to sensitize journalists on the Sura Independent Power Project under the Energizing Economies Initiative.
Journalists from various media houses in Lagos were taken around the complex to inspect the 1.5MW IPP infrastructure deployed to provide constant, clean and reliable power supply to shops & interact with the IPP Engineers to know more about the deployed infrastructure.
The tour started from the Sura IPP customer service shop before heading to the control room where distribution panels are installed. Engr Omotunde Hassan, Head of Operations,Solad Power Holdings took journalists round & responded to questions with regards to the project.
The tour ended at Lusanno Apparels owned by Mrs. Bunmi Ajayi who is a beneficiary of the Sura Independent Power Project. Journalists saw reliable electricity at work. Businesses were ongoing as journalists were taken round around the complex.
